  • Students of Nursery participated in an engaging and meaningful KUW activity on the theme “Hygiene Awareness – Hand Washing.” The session aimed at building healthy habits and helping children understand the importance of cleanliness in a fun and interactive way.

Through the “Six Steps of Hand Washing” activity, children learned the correct method of washing hands using action-based learning. To make the concept more impactful, a glitter experiment was conducted where a tray filled with water and glitter represented germs. When a drop of liquid soap was placed on a child’s finger and dipped into the glitter water, the glitter quickly moved away, showing the “magic of soap” and how it helps keep germs away. The children were delighted and amazed by the visual demonstration.

The activity helped students learn and remember the six steps of hand washing while understanding the importance of personal hygiene in daily life. It also encouraged observation, curiosity, and critical thinking through hands-on learning. In addition, it supported the development of fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the formation of healthy habits from an early age.

Overall, it was a joyful and impactful learning experience that reinforced the importance of hygiene in a fun and memorable way.

  • Students of Grade 1 and Kindergarten participated in an engaging EVS activity on the theme “Zoom into Your Senses.” The activity was designed to help children explore and understand the five sense organs—eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and skin—through a fun, hands-on learning experience. A colorful dice was used to make the session interactive and enjoyable, where each number on the dice was linked to a specific sense organ.

Students took turns rolling the dice and performed activities related to the sense organ they landed on. Through this playful approach, they actively observed, participated, and expressed their experiences, making learning both meaningful and enjoyable. The activity encouraged curiosity, communication, and collaborative learning among the young learners.

The session helped students identify the five sense organs and understand their functions in daily life. It also promoted the use of senses through real-life experiences such as seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching. In addition, it developed observation skills, thinking abilities, and awareness about the importance of caring for sense organs.

Overall, the activity made learning fun, interactive, and experiential, while enhancing confidence, participation, and foundational understanding among students through joyful learning.
